Big news for Nintendo fans—Assassin's Creed Shadows is apparently making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. While Ubisoft has kept quiet on whether this highly anticipated title would be available on the next-gen Nintendo console, a recent update by PEGI, Europe’s game rating authority, seems to have accidentally let the cat out of the bag.
In an unexpected twist, PEGI has listed Assassin's Creed Shadows for Nintendo Switch 2 alongside the already confirmed platforms—PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. This surprising update was spotted by users on the popular Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, sparking excitement and speculation among fans.
The official PEGI game page doesn’t show anything out of the ordinary. However, the front page under the “most searched games” section clearly includes Nintendo Switch 2 as one of the platforms, adding fuel to the rumor fire.
While PEGI’s listing is a strong indicator, Ubisoft has not yet officially confirmed Assassin's Creed Shadows for Nintendo's new console. The listing could be a premature update or even a mistake, but it’s certainly enough to get fans buzzing. Eurogamer has reportedly reached out to Ubisoft for clarification.
In related news, Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws is also set to release on the Nintendo Switch 2. However, it's not expected to be a launch title. According to announcements made during Japan’s Star Wars Celebration, the story-driven adventure will drop on September 4, 2025, with its first DLC arriving on May 15.
