Netflix has finally released the official trailer for Love, Death + Robots Volume 4, and it’s everything fans hoped for—and more. Premiering on May 15, the hit animated anthology series returns with 10 brand-new episodes, packed with imaginative stories, striking visuals, and an all-star voice cast.
Since its debut in 2019, Love, Death + Robots has earned critical acclaim, winning 13 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Short Form Animated Program. Created by Tim Miller and co-produced by David Fincher, this series pushes the boundaries of adult animation—and Volume 4 looks ready to outdo all previous seasons.
The trailer teases a wild ride filled with giant babies, alien invasions, cyborg warriors, and dinosaur gladiators. The latest season goes even bigger by adding famous faces from music, comedy, and film.
One of the most talked-about episodes is “Can’t Stop,” directed by David Fincher, which features Anthony Kiedis, Flea, John Frusciante, and Chad Smith—members of the legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers—as digital characters.
Another buzzworthy episode is “The Screaming of the Tyrannosaur,” featuring YouTube star MrBeast and actress Bai Ling in a dinosaur gladiator battle.
In “Smart Appliances, Stupid Owners,” comedy stars Kevin Hart, Melissa Villaseñor, Amy Sedaris, and Ronny Chieng voice smart gadgets gone rogue in a hilarious tech-gone-wrong scenario.
Here are some of the exciting episodes and stars featured in Love, Death + Robots Volume 4:
A cat plans world domination. Voices by Chris Parnell, John Oliver, Fred Tatasciore, and Rachel Kimsey.
A classic-style alien invasion tale. Directed by Robert Bisi and Andy Lyon.
A return to the cyberpunk world of Season 3’s “Swarm,” starring Emily O’Brien, Feodor Chin, and Sumalee Montano.
A gang-war saga in a post-apocalyptic city with a bushido code, featuring John Boyega, Ed Skrein, and Rahul Kohli.
Set in 1757 London, a poet in an asylum is convinced Satan is controlling his mind. Stars Dan Stevens, Jim Broadbent, and Jane Leeves.
Volume 3 raised the bar with “Jibaro,” an Emmy-winning episode praised for its stunning visuals and symbolic storytelling. Volume 4 aims to continue that success with creative direction, big-name talent, and fresh storylines that challenge genre boundaries.
With Fincher and Miller back leading the charge, Season 4 might just be the most ambitious and entertaining installment yet.
