Subnautica 2, the upcoming underwater survival adventure from Unknown Worlds, has finally revealed its first real gameplay footage. In a newly released developer video titled "Road to Early Access", fans got their first look at the sequel in motion—offering a peek into its brand-new planet, stunning environments, and exciting co-op mechanics.
Although Subnautica 2 is the third game in the series (following 2021's Below Zero), it’s set in an entirely new world and brings a fresh experience to longtime fans. The game is being developed for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and will be available on Game Pass at launch.
The brief developer update showcased a few early scenes from the game, highlighting vivid undersea landscapes and unique aquatic life. Viewers caught a glimpse of what looks like the sequel’s version of the Safe Shallows, along with a glowing underground biome filled with bioluminescent life.
