Take-Two Interactive's CEO Strauss Zelnick has now revealed why the company keeps the official release date of Grand Theft Auto 6 under wraps. In an interview with Bloomberg, Zelnick explained that the marketing strategy behind the company is to create the most buzz while maintaining a level of surprise intact.
Unlike other publishers who announce release schedules years in advance, Take-Two likes to announce advertisement content closer to the release date. Zelnick stated that this policy helps sustain interest and ensure hype is at peak levels.
Even as further rumors of possible delays surface, Take-Two reconfirmed a Fall 2025 release window for GTA 6. Fans can anticipate officially approved trailers and advertising materials to come out on or around the release date and maintain hype at maximum levels.
