Riot Games Plans New Live-Action League of Legends TV Series - Image

Riot Games is embarking on a bold step to expand the world of League of Legends by unveiling a brand new live-action TV series. The firm, according to recent findings, is casting around for places and set to film a nine-episode show in Cat Ba, Hai Phong, later this year.


With the success of Arcane, Riot Games is doubling down on cinematic storytelling, giving fans an immersive experience in the world of League of Legends. While details about the story are still not revealed, rumors are that it will explore new tales in Runeterra, with major champion names and new narratives.


The show will have its premiere in big streaming platforms such as Netflix, together with HBO, ensuring an international audience. By choosing to shoot in Cat Ba, Riot Games is not just highlighting Vietnam's beautiful landscapes but also enriching the authenticity of its visual storytelling.


Minister Nguyễn Văn Hùng welcomed a delegation of Hollywood film directors and producers to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (VHTTDL) headquarters on March 10. Included in the delegation were Rose Lam, Global Executive Producer from Riot Studios, and Nicholas Simon, CEO and Producer from Indochina Productions.


Fans are eagerly anticipating more information about it, including the cast, storyline, and release date. With Riot Games' history of high-quality productions, this new live-action series will be one that everyone from gamers to mainstream audiences will not want to miss.
