Wind Breaker Season 2 Episode 4 Release Date and Time

Fans of Wind Breaker can mark their calendars. Season 2 Episode 4 is set to release on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 12:26 am (JST) in Japan. As the series continues to blend action, comedy, and strong character moments, expectations are high for what comes next.

Episode 3 Recap: Sakura vs Sugishita and the Rules of Bofurin

A Heated Clash Turns into Comic Chaos

The third episode opens with a tense fight between Sakura and Sugishita. Suo reveals that Sugishita is a devoted fan of Hajime Umemiya, the leader of Bofurin. His passion dates back to middle school, where he was the only one allowed to call himself a Bofurin member. So, when Sakura claimed he wanted to reach the top, it felt like a direct insult to Sugishita’s idol.

Surprisingly, Sakura holds his ground and even lands a solid kick, but the fight halts when Umemiya himself enters. As soon as he appears, everyone freezes in awe. Calmly, Umemiya tells them to enjoy their first day, avoid fights, and protect the town.

Sugishita, like a true fan, quickly obeys. He even starts wiping blood off his face out of respect. This unexpected turn from intense to hilarious sets the tone for the rest of the episode.

New Bonds and a Sense of Belonging

Thanks to Suo’s efforts, Sakura and Sugishita call a truce. Though the handshake is a little dramatic, it marks the start of a budding friendship. Sakura finally feels welcomed as classmates cheer him on for his strength. He smiles, feeling like he truly belongs.

The peace is short-lived as their seniors call them out. They meet Hiragi, the person in charge of their class. Sakura recognizes him as the man who once helped him and Kotoha. When someone mentions Kotoha’s name, Hiragi panics and warns everyone to keep quiet.

Hiragi reveals a mysterious connection between Kotoha and Umemiya. If Umemiya finds out Kotoha was in danger, Hiragi jokes that he’d be coughing blood. Cue the comedy as Hiragi swallows a handful of stomach pills called “gas-kun.”

Meanwhile, Nirei hilariously notes down all the bizarre details in his personal Bofurin journal.

Structure of Bofurin Explained

Nirei explains that Bofurin is structured under Umemiya and divided into four main teams, each led by a “king.” Hiragi is one of these kings and is responsible for Sakura’s class, known as Tamon team. Instead of battles, their task is to patrol and help the town — a letdown for Sakura, who expected non-stop action.

During their patrol, they clean graffiti, disappointing Sakura even more.

A Rival Gang Appears: Shishitoren

Things take a serious turn when the group spots a student with a swollen eye being chased. Sakura and Sugishita quickly intervene and knock out the attackers. This shocks everyone, as it risks sparking a bigger fight.

Suddenly, Jo Togame, the second-in-command of Shishitoren, arrives. Though he seems calm at first, he brutally beats one of his own teammates for being weak. Sakura nearly confronts him, but Togame leaves, promising to face Sakura another time.

A Peaceful but Mysterious Leader

The group takes the injured student to report the incident to Umemiya. Surprisingly, they find the feared leader tending to his rooftop vegetable garden. Suo jokes that he looks more like a preschooler than a gang boss. The episode ends with everyone stunned by Umemiya’s cheerful attitude.

What to Expect in Wind Breaker Season 2 Episode 4

After a mix of comedy, character building, and tension in Episode 3, fans can expect Episode 4 to dive deeper into the rivalry between Bofurin and Shishitoren. Will Jo Togame face Sakura again? What is the real connection between Umemiya and Kotoha? Episode 4 might reveal more about the politics within Bofurin and the dark side of Shishitoren.
