Riot Games Announces Major LeBlanc Rework and Noxian Map Updates

The battle against dark forces never ends, and our heroes continue to resist enemies that can only be described as demonsperhaps even worse. These invaders aim to drive people from their lands, and if they succeed, they will only move on to claim more territory. Resistance is essential, and supporting our allies is a duty we must uphold.

In the world of League of Legends, Riot Games is gearing up for some major in-game updates. On March 19, the game will introduce significant changes to the in-game environment, particularly in the Noxian region. Here’s what’s coming:

Upcoming Map Changes on March 19

Riot is updating various structures within the Noxian-themed parts of Summoner’s Rift:

  • Turrets will receive a new design
  • Nexus and inhibitors will be visually updated

These changes will incorporate a darker, more ominous aesthetic inspired by Black Rose, the secretive organization founded by LeBlanc and Vladimir. The updates will lean heavily into the theme of dark magic and Noxian intrigue.

LeBlanc’s Rework: A New Era Begins

One of the biggest upcoming changes is the LeBlanc rework, bringing a fresh look and feel to the Deceiver:

  • New visual design with enhanced animations and effects
  • Updated lore exploring her connection to the Black Rose
  • Reworked voice lines to reflect her mysterious nature
  • Complete overhaul of her skins, ensuring consistency with her new aesthetic
  • Refined ability effects, though Riot has stated that her core gameplay and mechanics will remain largely unchanged

This update follows a similar approach to the Viktor rework, where the fundamental playstyle remained intact, with adjustments focused on visuals and effects.

When Will the Rework Be Available?

  • March 18: First preview of LeBlanc’s updated model and animations
  • March 19: New Noxian map changes go live
  • April 2: Expected release of the LeBlanc rework, based on Riot’s hints
  • PBE Testing: Players can try out the changes on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) starting March 18

With these changes, Riot is reinforcing Noxus’s identity in the game while giving LeBlanc a much-needed update. Her new look and abilities will enhance the immersive experience for players who enjoy playing as or against the cunning illusionist.
