Riot Games' Ramadan Queue Time Adjustment: Will It Reduce Wait Times? (MENA Server) League of legends

As part of an effort to reduce queue times on servers, Riot Games is implementing temporary restrictions on specific game modes during Ramadan. By limiting the availability of certain modes, more players will be funneled into the remaining options, potentially decreasing queue times.

Temporary Time Restrictions:

  • Flex Queue, Draft Mode, and TFT Solo Queue will only be available between 6 PM and 4 AM (approximately 10 hours daily).
  • Other modes, such as Solo Queue (LoL), ARAM, and the new Arena mode, will remain accessible 24/7.

The goal of this change is to improve matchmaking efficiency by concentrating players into fewer queues, ultimately reducing wait times.

Will It Work?

The effectiveness of this strategy depends on player adaptation and overall server activity. By limiting mode availability during off-peak hours, Riot hopes to create a better matchmaking experience. However, the community's response will determine whether this change leads to faster queue times or causes frustration among players.

What do you think—will this approach successfully reduce queue times, or will it disrupt gameplay for those who prefer the affected modes?
